An updated Adobe Experience Manager DAM Connector integrates with AEM 5.6 DAM, with performance improvements.
An updated CMIS connector integrates with Alfresco 4.2, IBM FileNet P8, and Microsoft SharePoint 2013.
The Drive 4 submenu is now correctly placed in the file context menu for Mac OS Finder.
New file status icons are shown when viewing managed assets in a platform file browser (Windows Explorer or Mac OS Finder). The new icons show the DAM status of a file that is checked out by the user, checked out by another user, or up-to-date.
Performance is improved when loading a number of assets in Adobe Bridge for the first time.
A number of fixes in AEM DAM 5.6 affect Adobe Drive functionality, including the following:
You can now check out assets from an AEM DAM server if they’ve been renamed and have had a version promoted [3172339]
You can now show the version comments after promoting a version to be the current version [3172341]
Versions created in the supported CS applications now show the correct creator in Adobe Bridge and in the version dialog [3172348]
Versions are no longer lost when moving multi-versioned files to another folder in Bridge [3172351]
PSD files that have had the metadata edited in Adobe Bridge or AEM DAM now correctly show the modified values [3172355]
Dimension metadata for AEM DAM managed assets now appears correctly in Adobe Bridge [3183270]
Orientation metadata is now extracted when ingesting a JPG/PSD file into AEM DAM [3351519]
